Sebastian Majstorovic
Majstorovic is perhaps most famous for his role as a co-founder of SUCHO (Saving Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Online) . Following the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he and a global team of volunteers worked tirelessly to archive thousands of websites and digital collections from Ukrainian cultural institutions before they could be lost to server destruction or cyberattacks. Areas of Expertise Web Archiving: Using "emergency" digital archiving techniques to save data from endangered institutions. Digital Humanities: Applying computational tools to historical research, such as utilizing AI to transcribe old manuscripts (Handwritten Text Recognition).
